Have you considered this?
Mon, 28 Feb 2011Music is a very important part of education. Did you realise that buying a good piano is the cheapest part of the exercise? Here is some maths based on my personal experience over the time, however highlights why it is so important to have a good piano for the child to learn on in the first place. Giving your children the best possible instrument to learn on unltimatlely invests in the education of the child, increases the average academic ability of the child by up to 35%, increases spatial development, discipline and these are just a few.
The best piano you can afford is a positive investment.
Approx. 39 weeks of lessons in the year at an average cost of $25 per half hour lesson per week = $975
Approx. $50 to $75 per semester for books and materials = $150
Vehicle running expenses (base this on Tax or RAC allowance) $1 to $1.50 per kilometre (at $1.50 per km over 20ks = $30 per week, over 39 weeks then equals = $1170.
Time for the person taking the child to lessons based on love
FOR 1 YEAR = $2295 without the inclusion of time.
My daughter's piano retails at $6595. She is now into her fifth year of piano lessons. So far my costs of lessons, time, car as listed above are well above the cost of the piano.
I have not wasted my money in investing into the best possible resource I could have given her, but I have invested into her future.
Her comments about her piano can be seen on the products page, New Pianos, Bernstein 121 Allegro.
Note: this information is indicative and based on my own circumstances only.
What i am trying to say is buy a good piano first it will be worth it.
